Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between 2 Stage & 3 Stage?
3 stage air filters contain an additional carbon layer. This carbon layer filters out Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's), harmful gasses, and odors.
How do I know what size filter to buy?
Peak Performance Air Filters simply replace the filter you currently have in your home. Most air filters will have the size written on the filter. Simply select that size when purchasing your filter.
Example: for a 16x20x1 filter select "16x20" for the size and "1 inch" for the depth.
What does 0.1 micron filtration mean?
A micron is the unit of measure for air pollutants. The chart below shows the size of some of the most well known air pollutants and contaminants.
How often should I replace my filter?
These filters will capture much more than your standard air filter. It is recommended for first time users to check their filters weekly and change when the filter is full. As time goes on, your system will remain cleaner and filters will need to be changed less frequently. The standard time period for replacing a filter is 90 days.
